Many Arabic-speaking defendants in criminal proceedings are not simply facing criminal charges. They may be asylum seekers, refugees, or individuals with trauma histories — some of whom have experienced state violence, detention, or persecution before arriving in the UK.

Seven Arabic Dialects — Confirmed Before Booking

Instructing the wrong dialect can render interpretation meaningless. I always confirm the client's dialect before accepting a booking and decline where my dialect coverage does not match.

I hold an iCQ Level 6 DPSI Law (Distinction) — the professional qualification specifically designed for public service interpreters working in legal settings. I have accumulated over 400 documented hours of legal interpreting, including 100+ hours at the Home Office Immigration & Legal Services Unit — the highest-prestige panel in UK legal interpreting.

In November 2025, the Home Office awarded me a Letter of Merit — commendation of outstanding achievement — in recognition of my performance on the ILSU panel.

My NRPSI Full Registration (No. 17911) means my identity, qualifications, and professional competence have been independently verified. I am bound by the NRPSI Code of Professional Conduct — which means I am not just self-certified, but independently accountable.

I hold CTC (Counter Terrorism Check) clearance to September 2030 — enabling me to work on terrorism and serious organised crime matters without delay.
